FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO, CANADA — October 11, 2026 — Canada Fashion Council (CFC), a federally incorporated Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the Canadian fashion industry, today announced plans to launch Canada Fashion Week™ in 2027, a proposed national platform designed to celebrate Canadian fashion, strengthen industry connections and elevate the international visibility of Canadian creative talent.

The initiative reflects the Council’s broader mission to build a connected fashion ecosystem by supporting designers, models, fashion brands, creative entrepreneurs, retailers and industry professionals.

Canada Fashion Week™ is envisioned as a national fashion platform bringing together contemporary Canadian design, runway presentations, creative expression, professional development and opportunities for industry collaboration.

Advancing a national fashion platform

Canada’s fashion industry represents a diverse creative economy spanning independent designers, established fashion houses, manufacturers, modelling professionals, educational institutions, retailers and emerging fashion technologies.

Canada Fashion Week™ is being developed to showcase Canadian design excellence while encouraging stronger connections between the creative and commercial dimensions of fashion.

Canadian Design and Runway. Supporting the presentation and visibility of Canadian designers, emerging labels and established fashion brands.

Emerging Talent. Encouraging opportunities for models, stylists, creative directors, photographers and other fashion professionals.
