Our areas of focus

Canada Fashion Council is an independent Canadian organization incorporated federally under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. Our work advances the people, businesses and perspectives that shape Canadian fashion.

Talent and mentorship

Supporting the professional development of emerging designers, creative entrepreneurs and fashion industry talent through education, knowledge exchange and mentorship opportunities as programs are developed.

Industry capability

Promoting stronger business foundations, market access, financing literacy, merchandising knowledge, intellectual property awareness and operational practices for Canadian fashion labels.

Responsible fashion

Convening practical conversations about material choices, durability, circular design, supply-chain traceability, accessibility and fair participation in the fashion economy.

Events and cultural programming

Exploring runway, creative presentations and professional gatherings, including the FashionweekTO initiative described in the Council’s original site. Program availability, eligibility and timelines will be published separately when confirmed.

Designer support and future initiatives

Potential future support mechanisms, including a fashion fund and inclusion initiatives, remain subject to funding, governance, eligibility rules and official announcements. No grant award or application window is currently implied by this page.
